Which Arduino do you Own ?

Sign-up to the site to vote.

There're now many different Arduinos on the market and soon there will be more!

So which one do you currently have?

Or more importantly, which one do you mainly use ? I kinda have more than one Arduino...

I'm going to suspect that a lot of people have an Uno...

I have a wider variety than you are showing, and a couple of those I didn't bother with. I can't vote for a single Arduino board. It depends on the final use, as to which board is used, and whether I need…

I have mega 2560, its beautiful, compatible with lots of shield and you can always have space to insert another group of components. I/O are never enough!!

I actually meant I nearly missed your mention of the ESP32... I kind of glossed over it thinking is was the same as the other ESP8266 items.

So I did a little more research (and thinking)...

It looks like the ESP32 has more and better stuff in general.

Just upping to Dual core and much faster clock, with more than 3x the SRAM is a big deal - it would allow for a much more complicated ESP-based server setup. I've been thinking of simplifying my temperature logger by eliminating the server in the middle and having the ESP do all of that work instead. This might require that extra power and space.

But perhaps most interesting to me right now is that the ESP32 also includes Bluetooth - this would allow me to connect to my project/device with a smart phone app via Bluetooth to hook up the Wifi to my router. I know there's other ways to do it, like setting up the project/device as an AP first, but that gets complicated for an average end user.

I'm tempted to buy one now too image  But I still have a backlog of other ESP boards to check out first.

Wait, what? I almost missed that

No it was here and an actual physical demonstration image

    What is special about it?

As I understand more ram but there may be more ...

I'll have to do some digging, as you are quite right they are twice the price ... still cheap but a buck is a buck.image

Wait, what? I almost missed that... There's another option I didn't see? I looked up the ESP32 on eBay and they're about $8 - twice the price of Wemos and Witty. What is special about it?

    Thanks,

    -Nico

    Hi Mark,

I added a folder for you, and sent a PM.

ps, there's also a sensorsSummary.php (also included for Neil), that I think shows a table summary of sensors 001 and 002... not 100% sure.

Now that there's 3 of us I feel like I have even more reason to add those final features to it image

I can even throw a set of scripts into a server folder for you to play with. Super quick and easy to do and costs nothing.

Thanks for that offer, Nico. I need to learn PHP and some good models would be a great help image

Mine buys loads of stuff on eBay - and has to send existing stuff to the charity shops to make room for the new stuff!
