PlanAhead License

I recently purchase the Zedboard and Iu2019m having trouble with licensing. Using the voucher I received with the board I generated a licence, which was emailed to me and I added the licence using the Manage Xilinx Licences software. Iu2019m trying to use PlanAhead but am unable to open it as it says:

u201CUnable to get license. There may be a problem with your FLEXNet configuration, or your license server may be downu201D

In the Manage Xilinx Licences software, PlanAhead has a license version limit of 2015.01 im using 14.4 and the expiration date is permanent, Host Id matches and license CRC is yes.  All fields coloured green which implies I have the license and should be able to use PlanAhead.

im using a fixed node license. Also Iu2019m using a windows 64-bit standalone laptop that doesnu2019t have an internet connection, but can get one if it resolves this problem.

Does anyone have any idea whatu2019s going on?

    Did you generate the license on the machine you are trying to run the tools on? The host id in your license file (usually either an Ethernet MAC ID or HD serial number) must be found on the machine you are running the tools on.

     

    You can open up the license file and there should be a line something like:

     

    This license NODELOCKED to HOSTID=xxxxxxxx

     

    Where the hostid is your EMAC ID or HD serial number. If it looks OK open up the Xilinx License Manager, go to the 'Aquire a License' tab and browse to the location of your license file to set it as the one to be used.
