Xilink tools - which platform

Hi Folks,

Is there an advantage in using the Xilinx tools on the windows or Linux platform ?? - support - updates - features ??

This is NOT pro/con win/linux.... I just like an objective judgment ....

    Xilinx supports both platforms, and updates/binaries are released for both at the same time/rate.

    It is difference of preference of OS, as well as a preference of how that OS handles resources and how the Java VM runs on that OS (in reference to PlanAhead).

    If you have the knowledge of Linux it certainly is adventitious to use that OS environment as you will probably be leveraging a great number of open source tools for your Zynq Development, most of which run within *nix.
