SD Card Fails to Boot

Hi

The BOOT.bin on my SD Card (shipped with the board) will not run. It has booted correctly in the past, and I have tried using the default image from the OOB design. I tried formatting the card using mkdosfs and fdisk to see if that would fix the problem but it still won't boot. Does anyone know if there is a specific method I need to follow to correctly format the card so it will work?

are they primary partitions? I had the same problem, when didn't set them as primary partitions.

Hi m.russell,

Once I corrupted my SD card while un-safely powering off ZedBoard while during some heavy write load to the SD card.

Take a look at this page if you need the SD card files for the OOB demo.

Formatting the SD card under Windows seems to work just fine on my 4GB card. Use Windows Explorer, right click on the SD card drive and select 'Format' option.

I was able to get away with using the defaults on Windows 7 but I usually shy away from the quick format option, just to be safe.
