Is the MicroZed dead? Can you actually buy one?

All versions of the MicroZed have incredible lead times on avnet. For example:

7010 MicroZed SOM 64 days

7020 MicroZed SOM 84 days

7010 MicroZed Industrial 112 days

7020 MicroZed Industrial 112 days

7010 cost optimized 84 days

Also, these dates are not changing, and the latest version of Vivado doesn't seem to have the MicroZed BSP included in it any longer. What does this mean? When can I buy a MicroZed?

I can assure you that MicroZed is not dead. Also, I can also tell you that the information you find online at the Avnet website currently can be inaccurate. I apologize for that. It has been extremely frustrating for all of us involved. At the beginning of April, Avnet switched to a new website and back-end system. This has resulted in multiple issues, such as the slow shipping and stock/lead-time inaccuracies that you see.

I was told by our production manager this morning that all of the following will show stock by July 8th:

The MicroZed Cost-optimized is a non-stocked part. Standard lead-time is 10 weeks.

Do you know it these have started shipping? I have an AES-Z7MB-7Z010-SOM-G on order now, and I am hoping that they really came into a "in-stock" status earlier in July as the above post indicates. Will Avnet know to actually ship them if their broken system still shows them as out of stock? Have any of you out there received one recently?

Hello Az10sbum,
I was told by the production manager ealier today that we do have boards coming, but there is a huge backlog for the 7010 SOM. He suggested if you need it in a hurry to go and order the MicroZed 7010 Kit AES-Z7MB-7Z010-g since those we currently have in stock and are ready to be shipped.

Hello David,
Currently we do not have any of the PicoZed 7020 SOMs in stock. We have both commercial and Industrial grade SOMs on order at this time that will arrive some time in the next 8 weeks. If your application allows for a commercial grade SOM, i would suggest you order that as the commercial grade SOMs are expected to arrive before the Industrial grade SOMs.
