    Hello Mdakramuddin007,

It really will depend on what exactly you are looking for. Are you looking for a comercial design in product or a development board? Are you going to access the PMOD through the PL or PS? Are you looking for a specific Zynq device?

ZedBoard - is a development board not intended to be designed into a product. The ZedBoard has PMOD interfaces however it is also one of our larger dimension products we offer.

Zybo - I personally cannont comment to much about this board as I do not have any experience with it, however it seems similar to the Zedboard other then the less powerful Zynq chip installed on it. Zybo has a 7010 while Zedboard has a 7020 chip.

MicroZed - The MicroZed is intended to be a designed in Product. The MicroZed SOM is about 3inches by 2 inches. The SOM has one PMOD interface installed connected to the PS interface of the Zynq device. If you need access to more then one PMOD or the PL Pmod interface, you will either need to purchase one or design one yourself. If you design one yourself, this allows you the opportunity design it specifically to suit your needs.

PicoZed - The PicoZed is inteded to be a designed in Product. The PicoZed SOM is about 3 inches by 2 inches, however it does not have any interfaces installed so it is much more slim than the MicroZed. The PicoZed SOM is not meant to act as a standalong device, so it must be installed in a Carrier Card. The Carrier Cards we offer are relatively large, are are not intended to be used as a comercial product. They are more intended to be used in the development stage. Similiary to the MicroZed, with the PicoZed we still offer the ability for you to create your own custom Carrier Card to suit your needs(This is encouraged with design in products). The Carrier Cards we offer have many PMOD interfaces. If the PMOD application you are looking to do is done through the PL do no purchase a PicoZed 7010. You will need to purchase a PicoZed 7015/7020/7030 due to the 7010 not have access to the PL PMOD(See Hardware User Guide).

    Hope this helps.

    Hello mdakramuddin007,

The MicroZed can function as either a standalone development board or implemented as a design in SOM. By standalone I mean it does not need to be installed on a Carrier Card to power on.

The MicroZed SOM's PMOD connector only functions as a PS PMOD connector. If you want access to the MicroZed's PL PMOD Pins, you will need to do this through a Carrier Card.
