Amber USB-Link Status (LD11) does not flicker

Followed the Getting start Guide and the basic setup. The amber USB-Link Status (LD11) does not flicker. The driver is recognized and enumerated successfully and the COM port sets to be COM11. Set the serial port settings in the Tera Terminal window. Cycled power. But nothing appears in the Terminal Window? Need help!

I have the same problem and almost certainly others had the same problem too. I'm attempting to use minicom in RHEL7 to communicate with my Zedboard but alas there is no flickering of LD11 and consequently no response in minicom.
