Chipscope licence

Hi,

I was wondering is the Chipscope licence HW dependent. So after HW chages I cant use that licence.

I assume my computer have major upgade in next 6-12 months. I was wondering should I buy USB dongle for this licence. USB Dongle is about 190 usd.

Your ChipScope license entitles you to updates for 12 months. Xilinx does allow you to re-host your license 2 or 3 times, understanding that you may change computers.

You could also look at an external USB Ethernet device with a MAC ID. I understand these will work as pseudo-dongles as well if you tie the license to that device, and they are a lot cheaper than the standard dongle. I believe this is discussed on the Xilinx forums if you want to learn more.

Yes i agree we can check back the next week price and and will be publishing to the web at the IMS2015 event in Phoenix this week.
