SD card image for Zynq SDR-II Eval

Former Member
Former Member over 11 years ago

Hello,
I recently purchased a Zynq SDR-II Eval board. In the "Restoring the SD Card image" section of the Getting Started Guide, it is mentioned that the image archive for the SD card can be downloaded from http://www.zedboard.org/product/zynq-sdr-ii-eval. However, I am unable to locate this file. I would appreciate it if anyone could point me to the location of the image archive.
Thanks!

    Galen,

Thanks for letting us know about the issue.

I will get the download link posted on the web as is should be as soon as possible. In the meantime I have emailed a link to you that can be used to download the file for the next week.

    -Gary

    Hello,

Is the SD Card image referred above for SDR-II already available publicly?

If so, can anyone point us to the download link? Or perhaps some instructions on how we may be able to obtain it.

    Thank you.

In the document 'ZynqR-7000 All Programmable SoC / AD9361 Software-Defined Radio Evaluation Kit' , it says that the image archive 'zed_fmcomms2_image_8gb' can be downloaded from http://www.zedboard.org/product/zynq-sdr-ii-eval at ZedBoard.org. Well, I am unable to find this file ?? Can you provide some instructions on how to obtain this file ?

We have run into an issue on the website that is preventing us from posting .xz file types. We will post the SD card image as soon as the problem is corrected.

If the current issue is simply the .xz file type, until the issue is solved, couldn't the file be temporarily renamed and posted with instructions to change the extension back to .xz after it is downloaded.

Or could it be zipped and posted as a .zip file?

    Best Regards

    PaulB

The latest SD card image file from Analog Devices: http://wiki.analog.com/resources/tools-software/linux-software/zynq_images  -> zynq_image_8gb_2013_12_12.img.xz

In order to run any of these images:

    a) Insert the SD card into a Windows PC.

    b) Copy the files BOOT.BIN and devicetree.dtb from the appropriate subdirectory for the target platform (for example, ZedBoard is 'zynq-zed-adv7511-ad9361') into the root directory of the SD card

    c) Return the SD card into the target Xilinx board and boot

In addition, ADI created a script to run at the Linux command line that automatically downloads and updates all the Linux user-space ADI tools (such as IIO Scope) in-system. This is described in section ‘Staying up to date’.
