The display listed in the 7" Display Kit is a Sharp LQ070Y3LG4A LCD display that has an LVDS interface. The display kit shows that it connects to the display through a DisplayPort interface. How does that work?

Hi,
The DisplayPort cable was used because it is widely available, and conveniently has the number of differential pairs needed for the LCD display.
The DisplayPort protocol is not implemented. Once again, we are just using the cable to connect up I2C (ie. touch) and LVDS (ie. video) signals.
