Controlling the PMOD on the MicroZed

I didn't fully KNOW ahead of time that the PMOD on the MicroZed IS NOT connected directly to the PL, and only to the PS.

I learned this when doing the "Zynq Concepts, Tools, and Techniques on ZedBoard", but for the MicroZed, if that makes sense.

Anyway, having now realized that I paid $199 for something that I can not use it for its original intent, which was a board the size of the MicroZed, and using the PL to control the PMOD that is on it, without messing with the microheaders or paying another $149 to get an IO board. If I was going to do that, I would have just bought the ZedBoard.

So, here is my question:

Is there a way that I can CONTROL the PMOD on the MicroZed, through the PS which is somehow controlled by the PL through AXI interconnects or something?

Basically, I just want to be able to somewhat utilize this MicroZed and better learn the PL side of things, but at the same time, there is no IO to control on the MicroZed as it stands, so can I control IO, i.e., the LED and push button, and PMOD, via the PL and through the PS to that IO?

Thanks for your time! Much Appreciated!

No problem, you are right, it is clearly marked on the product brief and the manuals. I think the board is fantastic, but I just sort of bought when I saw the thing lol...

Great, I'll look forward to that new carrier board that is coming out in Dec, that will save me then :).

    Much appreciated!
