Can I use the MicroZed board for 802.3 EEE

I have seen references to IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) implementations using Zynq, but haven't seen anything about support for this in MicroZed. I am guessing it is not supported, but wondering if anyone has suggestions for how I can tackle this.

Hello Patrick,

While I am not aware of any available reference designs, the product brief for the Marvell 88E1512 PHY on the MicroZed indicates that it does support EEE and the 802.3az standard:

The Marvell PHY datasheet is only available with an NDA so, for more details you will need to either contact Marvell directly or work with your local Avnet/Silca FAE.

The other option would be to implement an external PHY, such as the NCS DP83640 on the ISMNET FMC board:
