I have a brand new avnet zedboard and when I connected the device to the board the drivers were installed successfully. However the blue Led in the board is not lit as the guide says. And in the device manager the device is not shown under ports.
How can I fix this? thanks in advance.
Make sure you have followed the Zedboard basic setup and operation instructions on page 10 of the 'Zedboard Getting Started Guide' available here: http://www.zedboard.org/documentation/1521
There are two microusb connectors on the Zedboard, the USB-UART connection on J14 and the JTAG/PROG connection on J17. Both will cause drivers to be loaded but you want to make sure you are connected to J14 for the terminal connection. Once you have connected J14 to your PC and turned on your ZedBoard, follow the instructions in the 'Cypress USB to UART Setup Guide' also available here: http://www.zedboard.org/documentation/1521
The blue LED indicates that the Zynq bitstream has been programmed. Make sure that the SD Card that came with your Zedboard is installed and that the Jumpers JP7-JP11 are set SD Card Mode as described in the 'Zedboard Getting Started Guide' instructions. Then cycle power on your ZedBoard.
