difference between J14 and J17

Hi,

I'm just starting using Zedboard, and I am pretty confused about the functionality of J14 and J17, please help

I'm wondering what's the difference between J14 and J17, do I need to micro USB to connect both of them to my machine in order to program Zedboard? Or do I connect J14 first and after configuration connect to J17?

When shall I connect to J14 and when J17?

J14 is connected to the USB to UART device and is used to connect to a terminal program, such as TeraTerm or Putty on your host PC.

J17 is connected to the Zynq device JTAG interface. You would connect J17 when you want to use the SDK for program development and debug.
