Multiple boot methods using the same jumper setting

Hi,

I am working with Petalinux and micro zed board. I am able to boot the the Zedboard using both QSPI flash and SD card. However I would like to know if by having the same jumper settings, can I boot from a different method. For example, if I set the jumpers to SD card mode, can I still be able to boot through QSPI without changing the jumpers?

PS following for jumper settings (page 20): http://microzed.org/sites/default/files/documentations/MicroZed_HW_UG_v1_4.pdf

    Hello Yathindra,

No, per chapter 6 of the Zynq Technical Reference Manual (UG585) the boot jumpers are only sampled at POR (Power On Reset) by the Zynq's internal BootRom and that sets the boot source until another POR occurs. You can download UG585 here:

    Thanks for confirming.

I went through the following post which explains the boot process via uboot.

    http://zedboard.org/content/how-use-axi-ethernet-u-boot

    Consider this situation,

    - I have set the jumpers to "Boot via SD card"

    - I interrupt before the countdown completes during the board start-up

    - Once the uboot is entered, can I follow the instructions and download via ethernet and install a new image?

Please note: I tried the above process but I could not get the commands correct. But if this particular method of installation is possible. I would be interested in exploring it in my work.

    thanks
