FTP not working on Zedboard

I am using petalinux sdk 2015.4. I made bootable image of linux. I am able to boot linux and work as usual with this newly built image.
After that i tried to FTP using winscp. I am unable to see directories in zedboard using FTP. But i am able to use SFTP successfully. What can cause such issue?
