SOM MAFIA ???

We placed an order for Picozed boards one year ago.

Long time has passed but nothing has been shipped to us, absolutely 0 qty.

I can't believe that all the production has been stopped for more than one year.

I just ask a simple question: there is a SOM mafia that grabs all the SOM production?

    I apologize for the frustrating set of circumstances. I can confirm that we are still actively building PicoZed. However, the supply issues have gotten even worse since I last reported 9 months ago. We have multiple component suppliers who have 52+ week lead-times, with at least one that is 80 weeks. These are definitely very challenging times.

    The 1400-piece build of PicoZed 7030 was completed in August and went to fill backlog. However, the next 1000-piece build of 7030 that we hoped to have done by the end of 2021 was slipped due to the previously mentioned issues. Currently, that 1000-piece build is estimated for June 2022. We have an additional 2000 pieces of the PicoZed 7030 that are in process as well, but those are not estimated to ship until 2023.

    Looking across all PicoZed families, Avnet has shipped >5K units over the past year, and we have >35K units in process. Avnet is committed to fulfilling these orders, but I understand the frustration that it is taking some time. I apologize for the inconvenience. It is very frustrating to all of us as well.

    Hello Bryan, June has arrived but we have not received any news on our orders.

    Can you tell us something concerning the PicoZed 7030 production and delivery in Italy?

    Here is the info that I received:

    • We have 450 that should arrive any day
    • Another 400 are pushed to August
    • 150 are estimated for October
    • We have 3000 more in process that are due in 2023

    All delays are due to components not available. We are working on 2nd sources where possible. We also will work directly with customers who have orders > 100 pieces if there are certain functions that are not necessary to them. If anyone is interested in exploring those avenues, then please start the discussion with your local Avnet/Silica/EBV salesperson.

    In order to determine if your order will be fulfilled from the 450 or August 400, I will need to know your PO#. Please private message me. Also, if you know who your local FAE and salesperson are, that would help me as well.
