I know that it has been a long time since you posted but I wanted to respond to your question for not only your reference but for others who find this question during their struggles.
You can find the out of box Yocto image MaaxBoard page on Avnet.com Scroll down to the Reference designs tab at the bottom and you will see a link to download the .zip of the image.

I cannot download the Out of Box Image for Yocto aswell.
The link seems to be expired and I would have to login using an AVNET Microsoft account.
