Maaxboard Hardware MIPI camera

Hi,

I have gone through the MaaXBoard OSM93 Development Kit Hardware User Guide,

but I was unable to find proper information about the MIPI Camera (OV5640) Module.

Could you please provide detailed information, such as where to purchase this camera module from different websites or other sources? Additionally,

it would be very helpful if you could share the datasheet to assist with integration into the MaaXBoard OSM93.

4 months later, no response? Great, I just bought into this cute little board, now I see it has no support. And, this after paying nearly double to feed the tariff fund.

What MIPI cameras are supported? Why doesn't Avnet sell them? Where can you buy one? How do we build for it, and control it? What the heck?!

Thank you. I did find various bits and pieces all over the place, and finally one great manual (forget where) on the MaaX ULP that explicitly explained many things, and pointed to this same camera. Just confusing when you go to the Arducam page, and they don't confirm this, or even tell you what the imaging sensor is! In my (very limited) knowledge, I think the cable pinout and electrical interface (can't just say "MIPI") must match, and then the imaging sensor must also be one that has a driver and possibly ISP implementation already existing, and in the prebuilt images and source packages. Sound about right? So, is the OV5640, and this board in particular, the only camera supported on the Maax i.mX8ULP board/software? I can't find anything on this.

Hi,

Sorry if the documentation is unclear, the MIPI camera interface is similar to the Raspberry PI (see pinout bellow)

Other cameras can be supported as long as they have built in ISP as the board does not (drivers would need to be added to the build though)

Here is the pinout for the CSI camera interface
