MicroZed availability

For those of you trying to order MicroZed right now, you will find that we are out of stock. I think Avnet Express is quoting a 5-week lead-time right now, but we should have Rev F boards in hand by the end of November. We hope to clear all orders and have stock by the first week of December. We have put a couple other builds in place to maintain stock moving forward. The snag we ran into with the SiLabs USB-UART set us back a bit, but we expect to keep these in stock moving forward.

I just tried to buy a microzed and an IO card, but it's still out of stock. What's the deal?

Still no availability and still no answers. I'm starting to think you don't want me to buy your product. I've planning a design around the MicroZed, but I'm basically moving on at this point because I need thousands of these boards and your availability is extremely discouraging.

I received some answers from our production manager today. Sorry for the delay. Our CM introduced some unexpected delays, but I am happy to say that we are actively shipping Rev F MicroZeds. I'm told that based on the current rate it will take about 3 weeks to clear the backlog and to show stock for the MicroZed. For the I/O Carrier, we have already sold out of the Rev C boards. We expect to clear the current backlog and have stock on the Rev D within 2-3 weeks.
I apologize for the delay in answering your questions. I hope you will continue to consider MicroZed for your design.

Who needs a complete MicroZed Development Kit?

I tried to use it, but it's too timeconsuming for me to understand all the different tools. (why not using a simple GNU chain, and a simple logic shematic entry????).
And the documentation is an overkill instead of an easy sturtup guide. I haven't found an easy HELLO WORLD for toggling a LED and reading a switch or a simple counter or anything else. It's not a good help to show links to hundreds of video tutorials and to a user forum!

Make me an offer - some EUR for the board and shipping costs - and the board is yours.

i would buy it, but i already gave up on microzed. they promised availability and missed by a huge margin almost a year ago. i moved on to another module that i'm already using in production.
