Hi all,
I'm working on a custom carrier card for the Microzed and have been examining the differences between the power circuitry of the IO, FMC, and breakout carrier cards.
After careful review I can't see the harm in removing the 3v3 regulator from the design to save on board space. I will instead use the 5V line to enable the first regulator in the sequence.
I noticed the breakout carrier card does not have a 3v3 regulator but I'd rather use the MAX15066 based on the IO and FMC card designs because they can provide more output current.
Can anyone confirm my assertion about removing the 3v3 regulator? As far as the Zynq is concerned I only need to power the PL ports (no XADC)
Thanks,
Sam
