Microzed and Vivado Hardware Manager

I have a compiled bitstream for the Microzed with the Zynq 7Z020 and I am trying to load program it from Vivado 2014.4 with the Hardware Manager.

When I autoconnect to the Microzed, only the localhost appears. The ARM cores and the FPGA PL are missing. (No hardware is attached to the localhost).

I am using Linux Mint, and have checked to make sure the USB driver for silicon labs cp210x.ko are available and installed.

My Vivado installation is previously working with the Zybo board, and I am able to use the hardware manager to program the Zybo.

I have the jumpers JP1-3 set for QSPI flash programming and I intend to use the board with the IO carrier card.

Zybo has a built-in USB-to-JTAG bridge as part of the microUSB circuit. The CP210x on the MicroZed is USB-UART only. You will need an external JTAG cable as described in the MicroZed User Guide.

Thank you, I solved the problem by using the Xilinx external JTAG cable and switching to using a Windows 10 system with Vivado 2014.4.

Mint was producing a Java null pointer exception and Windows does not have any trouble. I tried it with Mint, Centos and Ubuntu with Vivado 2014.1, 2014.4 and 2015.3, all had errors with the Java null pointer.
