Microzed not powering up

I bought 10 of microzed AES-Z7MB-7Z010-C01-I-G modules. But none of these seem to have jumpers nor rst or usr buttons. I was using a lower cost microzed AES-Z7MB-7Z010-SOM-G before. But when I power these new AES-Z7MB-7Z010-C01-I-G boards via USB, the LED's on the board do not blink at all. And my PC doesn't recognize this USB device at all. I put in the jumpers (set to SD card position), put an SD card which is working fine on the AES-Z7MB-7Z010-SOM-G boards, connected the  board to my PCB using the 100 pin connectors on the PCb and powered it. Still nothing happens. The LED's on the board dont blink at all. Can anyone please help em with this ?

AES-Z7MB-7Z010-SOM-G was working fine when connected to my PCB.

    I'm very sorry to hear of your problems. The C01 modules are not designed to operate standalone. See the following statement on Page 3 of the v1.6 User Guide:

    Cost-Optimized SOM

    This is identical to the SOM with the exception that all of the circuitry required for operating in standalone mode has been removed. The cost-optimized SOMs will ONLY work when plugged into a carrier card. The reduction in components allows these boards to be offered at a lower cost in volume. For a full listing of differences, see the yellow-highlighted items in the cost-optimized bill of materials.

     

    Your C01 SOMs will need to be plugged into a Carrier to be operational.

    Thanks for replying. But I have designed a PCB myself which is a carrier card for the microzed boards. The PCB has the SOM connectors to mate with the SOM connectors on the microzed board.
    I am able to connect AES-Z7MB-7Z010-SOM-G to my PCB and able to achieve communication between the PCB and AES-Z7MB-7Z010-SOM-G. But, when I connect the C01, it doesn't get powered at all. Am I missing something here ? Do I need to do something more here ?Does it only with the carrier card from microzed website ?
