Is the MicroZed discontinued?

Hi all,

I just wanted to order some additional MicroZed boards, and realized that all versions are currently out of stock. The given factory lead time is at 16 weeks! Does this mean that the microzed has been discontinued? :-(

Regards

The MicroZed has NOT been discontinued! The MicroZed, along with our other SOM products have been designed with a sustained life cycle with a 10 year life cycle in mind. You can read our statement on the SOM life cycle here:

    http://zedboard.org/sites/default/files/documentations/Avnet%20SOM%20LifeCycle%20150604.pdf

The lead time is not accurate and I expect we will have most boards in stock soon. I am checking on when we will have boards in stock and will post the information as soon as I confirm.

In the mean time we do show stock in the Cost Optimized versions of the MicroZed if they would fit your application.

The Cost Optimized MicroZed SOM which, like the MicroZed SOM, comes in the four versions and has no cables, voucher or microSD card. This version costs a little less and is intended for production where the customer is going to operate only in a carrier card environment where power is supplied by the carrier card as well as the JTAG connections. The boot options are fixed as well as a couple of other changes such as no user LED and push button. AES-Z7MB-7Z0x0-C01-x-G

This post has additional details on the Cost Optimized MicroZed:

The MicroZed 7010 is now showing in stock. We expect to have stock on the 7020 MicroZed by next week.
