The Pmod on the MicroZed is connected to PS MIOs. It is not connected to the PL.

So, if I understand correctly, the PMOD connector on the MicroZED is not accessible from the PL? If I want to connect external hardware to the FPGA I would need to go through the carrier connectors?
Yes, your statement is correct. The Pmod is connected to PS MIO, and there is no path to go from the PL to PS MIO. You could connect your external hardware to the MIO, then use a PS peripheral to transfer the external peripheral's data over the interconnect, as the PL fabric is active on MicroZed. The PL I/Os are only active and accessible when plugged into a Carrier board that provides PL Vcco.

So I would need a carrier board than, do you know anything about the carrier board presented? Date of availability and a price. The 12 PMODS to PL look great.
The MicroZed IO Carrier Board is now available for order:
