Microzed preset for industrial grade board

Hi,

we are using microzed board and its working perfectly now we move to the microzed industrial grad SOM-I-G.

kindly provide the zynq preset for this board as its DDR3 rame is different than normal  board,and our current design is not booting up properly. thanks

    There is no difference between the C-grade and I-grade boards in terms of the preset. Will you please give me more details on the DDR3 differences between the boards that you have? What happens when the boot up fails?

    Yes thats fine i used the same preset for industrial graded but after boot up it runs fine but gets too hot and one of my board is not functioning properly now after on for longer duration. Now when i power it up its blue led remains on and it does not draw any current from supply if i connect it without breakout board it does not powerup.

    the same bit file and software working fine in commercial grade, any hope for this situation?

    Hello imranquereshi,

    We use different speed-grades of DDR, depending on what is available. However, the faster grades are backwards compatible with the slower speed grades. The Preset is built for the slower speed grade, which is the fastest the Zynq will run anyways. 

    The MicroZed Commercial and Industrial should be 100% compatible, so what you are experiencing seems strange.

    Could you please tell me what kind of DDR3 memory is populated on your MicroZed industrial grade and commercial grade SOM. Are they Micron or Kingston DDR3 memory?

    Do you have another industrial grade SOM you could test to see if you are experiencing the same issues?

    Are you running the SOM in any sort of Temperature Chamber?

    1. in commercial grade its Micron and industrial, its Kingston.

    2. Yes i have another and its working fine in the start and gets hoter afterwards so I just power it off.

    3. No i am not using it in any thermel testing environment.

    The faulty boards behavior is when i power it up its bitfile done led(blue) goes high without any bitfile programed also the ethernet leds are also up, Is the FPGA goes dead? 

    Can you guide me any test points on the board from where i can troubleshoot further?

    Hello Imranqureshi,

    We are investigating an issue that corresponds with a specific build of MicroZeds.  We suspect that you might have a few units from that batch.  Please RMA the units that appear to be malfunctioning and then contact me through PM with your RMA number.  I can ensure that you receive units that should not exhibit this issue.
