Determining hardware version of microZed & IOCC

Former Member

I am a dumb software guy just about to start smoke testing PMODs with my microZed & IOCC.

I have been noting various errata for different hardware versions.

The "usual" silk screen location for the version seems to be "unfilled":
MBCC-IO-[blank rectangle]
Z7MB-7X0x0-ASY-[blank rectangle]

On the IOCC I note that there's actual copper with "MBCC-IO-PCB-D" next to the PS-PMOD connector, on the microZed, underneath near the PMOD connecter is "Z7MB-7Z0x0-PCB-F"

Are these the IOCC and microZed revisions the errata refer to (eg: there's that USB resistor errata, will you respin the PCB for that?)

You have correctly identified the markers that show what PCB Revision for each board. In your case, you have a Rev F MicroZed and a Rev D IOCC. Additionally, the MicroZed also has a sticker placed by the CM which identifies the PCB and BOM revisions. Mine says REV-F01, which identifies this as a Rev F PCB with BOM revision 01.

By USB Resistor Errata are you referring to this http://www.microzed.org/content/errata-usb-host-configuration-resistor-r56? If so, this can be corrected with a BOM change, so no PCB revision required. We are working on an updated BOM that reflects this, which will be addressed in a new Revision F0x. We should have more on this next week.
