Hi, all

How could I design a carrier board for microzed, which has

ADC (multichannel x16, upto 5MSPS)
DAC (single channel, upto 20MSPS)

that interconnect with zynq via JESD204B link ?

    Hi Benyuan,

At our recent X-fest courses I learned a little about JESD204B.  From what I understand, that data interconnect requires high speed serial transceivers so if you were interested in using Zynq, you would need to use one of the Zynq devices that support GTX transceivers.

We have the Mini Module Plus line of SOMs which you can find on this site and might find useful for achieving the number of GTX channels to realize JESD204B.

Check out this Analog Devices page for more information on JESD204B:

    http://www.analog.com/en/jesd204/topic.html

It looks like the sampling rates that you are looking at can be supported by data converters which do not require JESD204B but can use the LVDS I/O on Xilinx Series-7 devices.  Take a look at this Analog Devices wiki page for an example of one of these converters that is supported on ZedBoard:

    Regards,

    -Kevin
