Hi,
When powering the MicroZed card from a carrier card, SOM mode, it's recommended to remove D4 - USB Uart's VIN protection diode.
It's also recommended to replace VIN_HDR's (carrier cards VIN to MicroZed) protection diode with a shunt.
My question is: When all this is taken into implementation can the communication part (UART, TX & RX) still function properly without any configuration?
Does communication over USB-UART take any damage/loose any funcionallity from the card not being powered through this port?
