Hi,
page 11 of the microzed hardware users guide says:
"
Since MicroZed's default option if for the USB to be in Host
mode, the ID pin is tied to GND. This does not
prevent the USB3320 from operating in Device
mode. However, users must ensure their LINK software is able to ignore the state of the ID pin"
I've made the modifications to the board to get it to serve in device mode as described in the same document.
When I plug the USB-A from uZed into my computer, it shows up as an un-formatted file system. I don't know how to make SDK, let alone my windows computer recognize the uZed as a device with the ID pin tied to ground.
Can somebody tell me, how can accomplish the task I've quoted from the hardware users guide?
If pin 23, the ID pin of the USB3320 was tied to ground though a trace that was accessible it could be cut and either left floating or tied to VDD3v3. Unfortunately for me the trace is located under the IC.
Thanks very much!
Sam
