Microzed won't power up on FMC carrier

I have been using a Rev F Microzed for some weeks with great success. Today i connected the board to a Avnet FMC carrier. I followed the instructions in the getting started guide but when I applied power to the carrier the MicroZed refuses to power up, the microzed power good led is however on. If i remove the microzed from the carrier all is well again. Does anyone know what the problem might be.

Can you be more specific in what you mean by "refuses to power up" as you mention the MicroZed power good LED is on.

If you are trying to configure the MicroZed from the JTAG connector you will need to move your JTAG adapter to the connector on the FMC Carrier Card as the one on the MicroZed will not work when plugged into a carrier card. If you are looking for an output on the USB-UART connection to your terminal program you might try a reset in case you missed the initial output as you are not using this to power the board now.

Let me clarify. The mmicrozed is set to boot from SD, when it's off the carrier, Linux boots and operates just fine. I see the normal output on the USB terminal. When I attach the card to the carrier the microzed no longer boots. I do see the good power led on the microzed, but the Zynq seems ( not sure ) to remain in reset. The blue led on the microzed no longer lights. Also there are no LEDs lit on the carrier. My hardware design in the Zynq contains only the Zynq, nothing else. Do I need to configure the Design in any particular way for use with the carrier? Also, there is mention of an example design in the getting started guide, but I can only find an example for the io card.

Turns out my Microzed is in some way faulty. I replaced it by a new one and all is well
