    Hello simo,

The Pmod on the MicroZed is a PS Pmod accessible via the PS. No constraints are needed to route your signals there. Just use the correct MIO pin. Please refer to Tutorial 6,7,8,9. located here for references. http://zedboard.org/support/design/1519/10

    thanks for reply,

I agree with you, but my need is to use it as a trigger from PL because is more accurate than ps.
Trigger form the PS will introduce delays, so I'll never fall at the right time,
if you see what I'm referring to.

    Hello Simo,

Then I take it your using some sort of carrier card to access a PMOD via the PL? If so those tutorials i mentioned above showcase in two different tutorials how to access a Pmod via the PL on the MicroZed FMC Carrier card.

    Hello Josh,

the tutorials from 6 to 8 that you have indicated above, they show how to access to the PMOD via PS I2C / SPI or via PL I2C/SPI.

so what am I looking for is to use the two banks of pins JX1 and JX2 on the Microzed. For that I need to have some sort of carrier card to access it like u said.

not necessarily that it's the PMOD on the board that is used, what really matters is to use a PL trigger.

    Hello Simo,

Please take a look at the various carrier cards we offer for our MicroZed. They output the various JAX1 and JX2 signals out to many interfaces. Along with them is a master constraints file to assist with constraining your signals. My suggestion to you would be to choose either the IO Carrier Card, FMC Carrier Card, or Breakout Carrier Card.

Hello Josh, Thanks for your following along

I had already chosen the Breakout Carrier Card.

    Hi Simo,

Can you please explain how you wrote constraints to access PMOD pins via PL. I also have breakout carrier card but not able to write constraints.

    Hello Priya,

A master contraints file is available for you on the BKO docmentation page:http://zedboard.org/support/documentation/2182

However, There is no Pmod interfact on the Breakout Carrier Card. In the Hardware setup you have you only have access to the Pmod port which is on the MicroZed SOM. The Pmod interface on the SOM is only available via the PS.
