IO Shield

Hi,

I see that the case of the Mini-ITX System Kit has a proper IO shield installed (at least it looks like that on the pictures). Is this shield available anywhere or is it possible to use the IO shield of some other existing board? If not, are the schematics available somewhere?

Thanks

    Konstantin,

Are you referring to the back plate on the system enclosure?

    Hi Gary,

yes, the back plate is exactly what I meant. Is that perhaps included with the board kit? I yet have to get my Mini-ITX board.

    Regards

    Hi Konstantin,

You will only get the back plate if have ordered the System Kit which includes the chassis.

I asked about the back plate itself from our design team and got this response:

We don't have a spec for the back plate. The design was done by Systium, the chassis supplier, and the files are marked proprietary. I have requested the latest files and clarification on how the can be distributed.

Systium is a franchised supplier to Avnet Embedded so they can also contact the local sales office for support.

If I receive any additional information I will post it. In the meantime your best bet might be to contact your local Avnet sales office as suggested above.

    -Gary
