Picozed and high speed data acquisition

Hello.
This looks like a very interesting product.
I look forward to seeing the hardware documentation guides, tutorials etc. when they are available.
I am interested in high speed data acquisition and using for example a quad or octal (12, 14 or 16 bit) ADC with sampling rates of 65 MSPS or more /channel, with serial LVDS output. There are ADC eval boards available from Texas instruments and Linear Technology with high speed Samtec connectors. How easy would it be to interface these eval boards to the Picozed board? Perhaps it may be necesary to design an interface board between the two? I have seen FMC adapter boards from TI which work with their high speed ADC eval boards. This would only really be relevant for interfacing the ADC to the FMC connector on the Picozed carrier board. Is this the only solution? Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Will.

No worries on the name, I have been called much worse:-)

Yes, the PicoZed JX1 and JX2 connectors are compatible with the MicroZed, so you can use MicroZed Carrier cards but with the limitations mentioned. You could add your own ethernet phy via EMIO/PL connections from the JX1/JX2 microheaders, but no USB.

The main differences between the MicroZed and PicoZed are the removal of the ethernet, usb, power connectors, microSD card socket, etc. from the PicoZed to save cost and area/height for SOM applications on the assumption that the user would be creating their own carrier card. The PicoZed does add eMMC memory that the MicroZed does not have. And, the availability of four Zynq device options (7010, 7020, 7015, and 7030) with the same footprint, as well as the addition of high speed transceivers on the 7015 and 7030 based boards.

    Thanks Gary.
With reference to an earlier post above, any thoughts Gary on the multiple PicoZed (or MicroZed) boards , and mini-ITX board interface?
