Camera output bit width for PicoZed Embbeded & Smart Vision Kit

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the no. of R, G and B bits the camera Aptina 0134 (which comes with PicoZed smart vision kit) and ON PYTHON-1300-C camera module (which comes with PicoZed embedded vision kit) outputs per pixel?

It's not quite clear in the datasheet of PYTHON-1300-C were it's mentioned 10 bit output per pixel, does it mean total R+B+G = 10 bits or 10 bits for each color? Similar is the case for Aptina 0134 sesnor.

Hello BJ,
the AR0134 image sensor's pixels are monochrome. Meaning it is only made up of one color.
For the PYTHON-1300-C image snsor, pixels are in bayer format. This means that each pixel only has one of the three primary colors(RGB). A CFA (color filer array interpolation) is required to generate the missing color components.

The Avnet reference design preserves 8 bits after the conversion, for a total of 24 bits.
