Clock SMA Connector

Dear all,

 

I'm using the 7030 PicoZed + FMC Carrier Card V2.

 

Is it possible to take out a clock from the SMA connector?

 

I tried to connect FCLK_CLK0 or a clock generate with Clocking Wizard to TX1_P or TX1_P but I get errors while generating the bitsteam.

 

These are my constraints:

set_property PACKAGE_PIN W4 [get_ports clk_out1];
set_property IOSTANDARD LVCMOS33 [get_ports clk_out1];

    Hi there,

    If you check the schematic, you will see that the circuit implemented does not allow for this.  The best option I can offer is to use the IDT Femtoclock and mirror your input clock from that part to both the debug test points as well as the MGT input pins. 

    The transceiver pins can only transmit from the transceiver circuitry.  They are not general purpose pins as almost all of the rest of the IO.
