FMC Carrier Rev

How do I check the revision of my FMC carrier board? Mine has a part num in top etch and a s/n sticker on the bottom ("S15-1900 / SN: 00130").

I see the FMC carrier rev C schematics were just posted, reflecting a change in the pinout of the RF personality module header, moving AD9361_GPO_VDO to pin 24 instead of pin 18. I have the ADI 2.4GHz/TDD module but do not want to plug it in without knowing it's safe (i.e. AD0361_GPO_VDO won't be shorted to ground).

Rev C FMC Carriers have a sticker with a Rev C marking, so if you don't see that you most likely have Rev B.

I see the conflict you are talking about:

The Rev B FMC has P3-18 connected to AD9361_GPO_VDD. The RF Personality Module connects that pin (P2-18) to GND. So this combo would effectively short the SOM 3.3V rail to ground.

I'm checking with the board designers to see if we might be missing something. Meanwhile, please wait to plug your boards together.

    /Matt

Okay we got to the bottom of this. An old revision of Rev B schematic was posted by accident. The hardware has no conflict. The FMC P3-18 is in fact tied to GND. The mating pin on the 2400TDD module, P2-18 is also at GND.  P2-24 is floating.

There's no issue plugging the 2400TDD module into either RevB or RevC FMC carriers.  Both schematics have been updated on the docs site for the kit. Sorry for any inconvenience.
