P1 Installed Rotated 180 degrees

Former Member

I received 2 PicoZed SDR SOM boards marked Rev C last week. Today I discovered that the connector P1 is installed incorrectly on both boards. The position is rotated 180 degrees which does not allow header pins to be inserted into the connector.

What corrective action do you advise?

Thanks!
John

    Hi John,

Sorry about the bad placement and thanks for letting us know! We'll circle back with our CM to make sure it's not widesrpead.

Your boards would normally be handled as an RMA by the local Avnet branch, which can get an exchange fairly quickly.

Do you need help getting in touch with your local Avnet branch? Just let me know.

    Thanks,

    Matt

    Hi Matt,

There is one complication to the RMA replacement idea. The 2 boards with the rotated P1 connector already had Q13 and E6 replaced in-house to fix PicoZed SDR design issues we discussed previously. Can I still do an RMA in that situation?

    Thanks!
    John

The problem has been resolved at the CM. If anyone discovers that they have the same issue, please send me a private message and we'll get yours fixed.

    Thanks,
    Matt
