Is anyone else finding the Zedboard ethernet device completely aggravating? I'm trying to set mine up to use bootp and dhcp so I can easily change kernels without having to hard code everything from the console. But it seems mine simply doesn't like to do anything with the network.
Gem.e000b000:0 is connected to Gem.e000b000. Reconnecting to Gem.e000b000
Gem.e000b000 Waiting for PHY auto negotiation to complete........ done
BOOTP broadcast 1
BOOTP broadcast 2
Using Gem.e000b000 device
(assuming I get a BOOTP)
Sending DHCP requests .xemacps e000b000.ps7-ethernet: Set clk to 124999998 Hz
xemacps e000b000.ps7-ethernet: link up (1000/FULL)...timed out!
Sending DHCP requests ...... timed out!
^^ Repeat ad nauseum.
And if I do get an actual IP address, I dare to mount an NFS folder to us, it won't be long before I get all sorts of issues.
I'm using the device.dtb that came with the 14.6 release, but I'm using a kernel built with the meta-xilinx layer. I want to try to do some interesting things with the board, but its apparent inability to do basic dynamic networking is just frustrating the blazes out of me to the point I don't want to use it.
Can anyone give me some insight as to what's going on?
Matt
