Help with booting digilent linux kernel in xillinux

Hi...
I am trying to boot with a full version linux kernel for xillinux. I went through the process of make config, make zImage and i got the new compiled image in /boot directory namely :
vmlinux
vmlinuz
vmlinuz-3.3.0-digilent-12.07-zed-beta+
vmlinuz-3.3.0-xillinux-1.0
vmlinuz.old

So now could i load by new kernel?
Some sources says to use lilo but here i couldnt install lilo at all. Moreover here without lilo/grub its able to boot. How can i change it such that my new kernel gets loaded?

Can anybody help me on this...

Hi,

Just copy your new compressed kernel, which you should find as arch/arm/boot/zImage in the kernel tree, to the SD card's first partition (the small one, with FAT32), overwriting the existing zImage file.

Turn on the power and hope for good. :)
