I followed a few guides to get Linaro Ubuntu running and was successful. I had a USB hub with a mouse and keyboard working, ethernet plugged in and connected to the internet and even firefox(or some other browser)? running and viewing web pages. However I was not able to write anything to USB mass storage. I need to get some test data off the Zedboard in an easy way, i.e. not via a netowrk connection. Has anyone got any desktop Linux running with USB mass storage working?
If not then any other ideas? I would like to test lots of self developed IP cores on the PL via a desktop environment (e.g. I can modify and compile the Linux C test code on the zedboard rather than x-compiling).
Also, is there a way to connect a monitor without anything in the PL? The guides I followed had some HDMI interface in the PL. Is the VGA port also connected through the PL?
