XADC+Linux

We are working on a project, we want to use XADC to digitize signal from function generator, and pass data to Xillinux 1.3. We know how to read temp sensor data from the chip which is in "temp" file, and that's all we know now, so if someone can give us some idea or advice that will be great, thanks.

If you don't care much about performance, I suggest instantiating an XADC in the logic, and connecting its DRP interface signals to Xillybus Lite. As far as I recall, you should be able to connect Xillybus Lite's signals directly to the XADC's instance, and access the XADC's registers from a plain user space program on Xillinux.

It's also possible to use Xillybus streams to fetch data in a more processor-economic way (if you need a relatively high bandwidth), and than requires some glue logic for fetching the data from the XADC and putting it in a FIFO.
