Using Zed Touch Display Kit (7 or 10) with PetaLinux?

I have Mini-ITX board and want to use it together with Zed Touch Display Kit (10 inch version) using PetaLinux.

What do I need to do to make it work?

When using hdf file from the Zed Touch Display Kit reference design for Mini-ITX board to build my PetaLinux project (from AVNET github), I am getting this error when I try to boot the compiled Linux image:

I am guessing I don't have module or driver in the kernel to make it recognize the display.

    Hi armendzh,

    We offer a standalone 2015.2 reference design for each of these display panels which will demonstrate the capabilities of the hardware.

    We are looking to add support for the display kits to Wind River Pulsar Linux to give us a path for ongoing support.

    However, we currently do not have support for either of the display kits under PetaLinux and this would require some patching to the Linux kernel that comes with PetaLinux to setup the VDMA properly.

    Are you working with a local Avnet/Silica FAE on your design?

    Hi Kevin.

    Yes, I have used those reference designs to get hdf file to build my PetaLinux project.
    When do you expect support for Wind River Pulsar linux to be available? I am still not sure how I can use PL designs with Wind River Pulsar Linux, reason why I was going embedded with PetaLinux.

    Is you my only option now is to try to apply same patch found in the MicroZed_ALI3_Display_Ubuntu_Tutorial_14_4_02 design reference for 7" display kit? Would it work for 10" display kit?

    Do I apply patch inside PetaLinux directory?
    $PETALINUX/components/linux-kernel/xlnx-3.19

    or at the PetaLinux project files?
