Python 1300C camera control from vision kit reference design

Hello

I have a Microzed Embedded Vision kit with a  Python 1300C.  I have loaded the  EMBV HLS 2015.4 reference design and want to play with the camera parameters.  What is the tool that can be used from  petalinux to modify the 1300C registers?  v4l2-ctl?  Is there a library I can link and use in my own application.    I realize this is a basic question, but I think I just need to be pointed to the right documentation.  I have the NOIP1SN1300A data sheet that has the camera control registers, just need to know how to get them on the camera.

    To answer my own question.  I was able to get the 2015.4  EMBV - PYTHON-1300-C Reference Design working.  The application runs on bare-metal vs petalinux.  The camera can be controlled through the onsemi_python_sw.c library found in the bsp source.
