Linaro on Zedboard with HDMI Black Login Screen

Hi to all,
I'm trying to use Linaro Gnome 15.04 on Zedboard with ADI7511 HDMI design and I followed these two guides: https://wiki.analog.com/resources/tools-software/linux-drivers/platforms/zynq AND http://fpga.org/2013/05/24/yet-another-guide-to-running-linaro-ubuntu-desktop-on-xilinx-zynq-on-the-zedboard/

The system starts but I have a problem: when I should enter the login credentials the HDMI monitor becomes "black" (but sometimes I see "fast stripes"), but if I execute the "service gdm stop" command I'm able to see the login text on the HDMI monitor (so the design appears to be working).
In addition the problem returns if I run "service gdm start")...it seems a GDM problem but I don't understand what really is.

I've tried to reset the Xserver but there is no Xorg.conf file.

There is someone that has already faced this problem?

Hi,
the problem has been solved.
First, I compiled another u-boot branch (2014.4) instead of xilinx-v14.4; after this step I compiled the ADI Linux kernel indicating the /tools path of the u-boot folder and as last step I downloaded an older version of Linaro (12.11) from the linaro repository. (it is old but is the one suggested from ADI ez-analog forum users).

I hope this will be useful for someone else.
