OLED on ZEDBOARD

Could any body share some details on the OLED controller used I belive its the "Inteltronic/Wisechip UG-2832HSWEG04 OLED Display"

I wasn't able to find controller details for programming in C. Any document I can refer to? for sequencing the power supply, configuring registers etc and display some basic text?

If you could share the pmodoled-gpio-spi.c file and the related driver info as well it would be helpful.

Aditya Sivagnanam,

I was unable to find explicite details anywhere (a datasheet) on the OLED module. I was, however, able to write to the OLED. Check this post out here:

Hope that helps for the meantime until we can get the source code/datasheet.

Hi,

I think the OLED looks very much like the Pmod from Digilent: http://www.digilentinc.com/Products/Detail.cfm?Prod=PMOD-OLED
Check their documentation and examples. If you know that already, then this information will be still useful for someone.

I agree. I just need to figure out how it is connected to the PS system now. I'll dive in this evening and take a look. I should be able to publish a few other how-to's as well tonight.

Hey guys.. I contacted the OLED manuf. and got all the details including all datasheeets appnotes as well as a 8051 C code for displaying all alphabets. Very usefull. Darpla, as for connecting to the PS-PL they are connected through a SPI interface (refer Zed board schem). now just need to write a XilC code to transfer data through AXI-SPI IP core to OLED. Anybody who needs the OLED info can contact me. I shall try and upload it so it can used by the community. (aditya.s@coreel.com)

I would like to send text to the OLED on Zedboard with Xillinux, anyone know how can we do that?

I would like to access the zynqgeek blogspot but it is only for inviter. Can be inviter?
