I'm running through the tutorials, starting with #1 which is basically a test that Vivado is installed correctly. (apparently it isn't :-)
Everything in the tutoral works like it should until I get to the step that says "Generate Bitstream", at that point it says "There were errors" and it gives me a choice of opening messages or logs.
There are a lot of messages and most seem pretty innocuous. 111 Info, 238 warning, and 85 status.
The last status seems to be Starting synth_design ... synth_design completed successfully.
I can't figure out where the error is.
Edit: So after a lot of variation it seems that for some reason the implmenetation step fails if my project directory is a mapped network drive. Really Xilinx? Network attached storage has been a thing for over a quarter century now. Is this a known bug in 2018.2? When will it be fixed?
