Ultra96 and Click Mezzanine unhappy with Ubuntu?

Hi all,

When I plug the JTAG / USART for my Ultra96v1 and Click Mezzanine into my laptop, it seems to have an issue connecting to Ubuntu - even through a Virtual Machine running on my Windows Laptop. When I use a terminal program in Windows, everything seems to work just fine. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Dan,

I actually ran into this last week on my work laptop but I don't see it on my desktop workstation and I also don't see it when I plug directly into my laptop.

I talked to one of the Avnet FAEs about this and he suggested that it is the Thunderbolt port replication on my laptop docking station that is messing me up. Sure enough, unplug from the docking station and plug into the port on the side of the laptop and everything is working as expected.

Do you have a similar setup with a Thunderbolt connected docking station?

That's pretty much what I see! I also have a docking station with a thunderbolt like connection. As soon as I plugged into a port directly on my laptop, everything was fine.
