AES-ULTRA96-V2-I-G Wi-Fi not functioning

Hello,

Recently we bought an AES-ULTRA96-V2-I-G board with which Wi-Fi did not work. This board is an Industrial version of Ultra96-V2 board. We checked an existing thread for Ultra96-V2 Wifi issue. It seems that we are facing the same issue which has not yet been solved. /products/devtools/avnetboardscommunity/avnetboard-forums/f/ultra96-hardware-design/53288/ultra96-v2-wifi-connection/222561. We are not sure if it is software issue which can be fixed by some script commands, or a hardware issue like what is mentioned in this existing thread - a "wrong component was mounted on Y1 on some boards with Ultra96-V2".

    Hi, c-chil,

Thank you very much for your information. This errata mentions "AES-ULTRA96-V2-G boards built between December 2022 and May of 2023". Ours is an Industrial version board AES-ULTRA96-V2-I-G. Do you think that this errata might apply to Industrial version boards as well? If so, how can we tell from our board that it might get affected (manufacturing date, lot number)? I have our board pictures attached in my posting. Appreciate your kind check. In case that board has to be sent back for the fix, we are wondering if we can get a Wi-Fi working replacement board before we send back the defective board, do you think if it is possible with AVNet? Currently on AVnet website, AES-ULTRA96-V2-G is out-of-stock while AES-ULTRA96-V2-I-G (Industrial version) is in stock. My concern is if the replacement board has the same Wi-Fi issue if not pre-verified before shipping to us.

    Thanks a lot,
    Jiang
