UltraZed-EV Carrier Card FMC Symbol Issue

Hi all,

 

First, let me start off by saying that as of this post, we are still working on the errata.  I wanted to let people know about something that was discovered.

 

We have a user that was trying to combine one of our most popular FMC cards with the UltraZed-EV Carrier Card and he was seeing issues.

Question regarding FMC connector on UltraZed EV Carrier Card

 

After spending some time investigating, we found that this symbol was created incorrectly.  While all the SIGNAL names were present, they were located on the wrong connector pins.  While signal NAMES were present and loop back testing checked pairs, the automated schematic test and electrical factory test passed due to the pins being named properly, just misaligned as pairs.

 

I am expecting to issue the official errata on this in the next day or so and will keep everyone abreast about any progress or solutions as I get them.

    Before purchasing the UltraZed-EV Carrier Card, please ensure that any Vita57 FMC that you wish to plug in, is compatible with the Carrier, as there are a few pins that do not match the standard.  The details are listed in the errata.

     

    If you have purchased a carrier card before February 3rd, 2020, and run into an issue trying to use the High Pin Count connector, please contact your FAE.
